Intimate Conversation

When a woman says, “We need to talk!” she is saying this is your last chance to get it right before you go into the doghouse. When a man asks “Can we talk?” he didn’t take her seriously and is now asking for permission to come out of the doghouse!

One of a woman’s greatest needs is intimate conversation. Men tend to be ok with this when they are first getting to know their future bride. But once they get to know them, the intimate conversation starts to decline. Why? Because men typically talk to learn and for problem solving, while women typically talk for relationship and emotional support.

Guys, here’s the nugget for you: Even though you may prefer direct, brief, to the point conversation, sometimes in order for your wife to “See what you’re saying”, intimate conversation is required. It’s not enough to say, “There just ain’t that much to talk about!” Because you will find out, like Adam did in the garden of Eden, that there is always a snake out there ready to get in your wife’s ear if you don’t.
